  • From Industry to Cosmetics - Application Guide for n-Butyl Stearate

  • 📝Product Overview

Butyl stearate is a long-chain fatty acid ester synthesized through an esterification reaction between stearic acid (C18 saturated fatty acid) and n-butanol. At room temperature, it appears as a colorless to pale yellow transparent oily liquid, characterized by low volatility, excellent thermal stability, and cold resistance. Its properties include:

    1.Low viscosity, high lubricity

2.Good compatibility with organic solvents such as alcohols, mineral oils, and hydrocarbons

3.Low toxicity and environmentally friendly, compliant with industrial safety standards

4.Primarily used as a plasticizer, lubricant, release agent, and surface treatment agent in polymer materials, personal care, and industrial applications.
