  • Functional Analysis of Ba/Cd/Zn Stabilizers

  • Ba/Cd/Zn stabilizer is a high-performance liquid barium-cadmium-zinc synergistic stabilizer system designed specifically for the processing of soft and semi-rigid PVC. Designed specifically for soft/semi-rigid PVC, it provides:

    Excellent initial whiteness

Long-term thermal stability (processing temperature of 160–200°C)

    UV aging resistance

⚠️ Note: Not suitable for food contact, medical devices, or children's products.

  • 🔬Key Specifications

    Appearance: Yellow transparent liquid.

    Metal ratio (Ba/Cd/Zn): Approximately 4.5 / 2.5 / 0.8

    Density (25°C): Approximately 1.05 ± 0.05 g/cm³.

    Viscosity (25°C): Approximately 350–550 cP .

Thermal stability (180°C): ≥ 50 minutes (static oven method).

    Compatibility:

⚗️ Soluble in plasticizers such as DOP/DBP

🚫 Insoluble in water (strict moisture protection required)

  • 📊Performance Characteristics

High thermal stability: Provides continuous protection within the typical PVC processing temperature range of 160–200°C, effectively delaying yellowing and charring.

Excellent optical properties: Provides high transparency and low haze for transparent and light-colored products, preventing yellowing over time.

Good processability: Excellent compatibility with PVC resin, good solubility in the plasticizer system, preventing precipitation and blooming.

Synergistic enhancement: When used in combination with epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) , further improves thermal stability and light stability.

  • 🛠️ Application Areas

    Interior decoration materials

Ceiling film: Used for PVC suspended ceilings or decorative film, which does not come into direct contact with the human body and is used in a closed environment. It can be used under strict control (must comply with indoor air emission standards).

Artificial leather/wallpaper: Decorative materials that do not come into direct contact with the skin (such as furniture padding and wall coverings) must ensure that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) meet standards.

    Industrial and Construction Waterproofing Materials

Waterproofing membranes/building sealants: Used for roof and basement waterproofing layers, these materials come into contact with soil/building materials and are not exposed to humans, so they can be used in non-potable water scenarios with restrictions.

    Special Industrial Components

Industrial hoses/cable sheathing (non-electrical insulation type): Such as irrigation pipes, industrial ventilation pipes, etc., these materials must avoid electrical standards such as UL certification.

Outdoor advertising banners: Excellent weather resistance, suitable for short-term outdoor display (not long-term exposure), but must comply with waste disposal regulations.

    Non-contact daily necessities

Shoe soles/heels (non-direct skin contact layers): Limited to outer shoe materials, designed to avoid contact with sweat.
