Paraffin Wax is a high-purity, odorless, and translucent solid derived from the careful dewaxing and refining of petroleum-based lubricating oil fractions. Primarily composed of straight-chain saturated hydrocarbons (n-alkanes), it is characterized by its excellent crystalline structure, high gloss, water repellency, and stability.

1. Excellent External Lubrication: Reduces friction between the PVC melt and metal surfaces of processing equipment (extruder barrels, dies, calender rolls), facilitating smooth material flow and easy release, which helps prevent melt fracture and improves surface finish.
2. Improved Processing Efficiency: Lowers processing torque and energy consumption, enhances production line speed (output), and contributes to stable, continuous operation in extrusion and calendering.
3. Enhanced Surface Quality: Imparts a high-gloss, smooth surface to finished PVC products (e.g., pipes, profiles, sheets) and reduces surface defects such as sharkskin.
4. Good Compatibility & Low Volatility: Exhibits good compatibility with PVC resin and common additives within recommended dosage ranges. Its low volatility minimizes fuming and plate-out issues during high-temperature processing.
5. Water Repellency & Stability: The saturated hydrocarbon structure provides inherent water resistance and good chemical stability, contributing to the durability of the final PVC product.
· PVC Processing: Essential external lubricant for rigid and flexible PVC in pipes, profiles, sheets, films, and cables.
· Rubber & Tire Industry: Used as an anti-ozonant and processing aid.
· Hot Melt Adhesives: Key component providing binding strength and setting properties.
· Coatings & Polishes: Imparts gloss and protective properties.
· Candle Manufacturing: Primary raw material for a clean, steady burn.
· Paper Converting & Packaging: Provides moisture barrier and gloss.
· Cosmetic Formulations: Used in creams, lipsticks, and lotions for texture and consistency.
The typical addition level in PVC formulations ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 phr (parts per hundred resin).
· Lower dosage (0.1-0.3 phr): Suitable for most rigid PVC extrusion and injection molding.
· Higher dosage (0.3-0.5 phr): May be used in calendering or for specific formulations requiring enhanced lubrication.
Note: The optimal dosage depends on the specific PVC compound, other lubricants present, processing conditions, and the chosen paraffin wax grade (melting point). Lab-scale trials are recommended.
· Packaging: 25 kg net weight per bag (kraft paper with inner PE liner) or 25 kg carton box. Also available in 50 lb blocks or slabs upon request.
· Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent contamination.
· Shelf Life: 36 months from the date of production when stored under recommended conditions.
