  • High-Efficiency One-Pack Lead-Based Thermal Stabilizer | LS Series Product Overview

    📝 Product Overview

Lead-based PVC Stabilizers (specifically the LS series "One-Pack" systems) are highly efficient thermal stabilizers designed for the processing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). They typically consist of a synergistic blend of tribasic lead sulfate, dibasic lead stearate, and high-quality lubricants.

During the PVC extrusion or injection process, these stabilizers act by neutralizing the hydrochloric acid (HCl) released during thermal degradation, preventing the "zipper reaction" of the polymer chains. This product offers exceptional heat stability, excellent electrical insulation, and superior lubrication, ensuring a smooth production process and a high-quality finish for the end product. It is known for its cost-effectiveness and robust performance in harsh processing conditions.

    🚀 Application Areas

Lead-based stabilizers remain the preferred choice for many rigid PVC applications due to their high processing safety and cost-to-performance ratio. Primary application areas include:

    1.Rigid PVC Pipes & Fittings:

Extensively used in the production of U-PVC water supply pipes, drainage pipes, and electrical conduits. It provides the necessary heat resistance to withstand high-temperature extrusion and ensures the pipe maintains structural integrity and impact strength.

Recommended dosage: 2.5 - 4.5 phr (parts per hundred resin) depending on filler content.

    2.PVC Window Profiles & Doors:

Ideal for multi-cavity window profiles where complex cross-sections require excellent melt flow and thermal stability. It enhances the weatherability of the profiles and prevents yellowing during the cooling phase of production.

    3. Wire and Cable Compounds:

Due to the non-conductive nature of lead salts, these stabilizers provide superior electrical insulation properties. They are widely used in insulation and sheathing for low-voltage power cables and telecommunication wires.

    4. PVC Sheets and Roofing:

Used in corrugated sheets and rigid boards for construction. The stabilizer ensures a uniform surface finish and provides long-term resistance to thermal aging when exposed to outdoor environments.

    5. Injection Molded Components:

Suitable for PVC fittings, valves, and electrical boxes. It provides a wide processing window and excellent mold release properties, reducing the risk of "plate-out" on the machinery.

    6. Ducting and Trunking:

For electrical cable management systems, the LS series ensures high stiffness and flame retardancy, meeting stringent safety standards for building materials.

    📦 Packaging and Storage

Packaging: Typically supplied in 25 kg multi-layer paper bags with a PE inner liner, or jumbo bags (500/1000 kg) for large-scale industrial use.

    Storage:

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse.

Keep away from moisture and direct heat sources.

Shelf life is 12 months when stored in original unopened packaging.

Handling: As this product contains lead, appropriate PPE (masks and gloves) should be worn to prevent dust inhalation. Follow local environmental regulations regarding lead-based materials.
