PVC Paste Resin TPM-31 is an emulsion-grade polyvinyl chloride homopolymer designed specifically for plastisol processing. With a CAS number 9002-86-2 and a K-Value of 69–72, it appears as a white fine powder produced via emulsion or micro-suspension polymerization. Unlike suspension-grade resins (SG series) that are processed by dry blending and extrusion, TPM-31 is formulated to disperse in liquid plasticizers to form stable, coatable pastes — known as plastisols.
TPM-31 offers excellent dispersion, low and stable paste viscosity, and minimal viscosity aging over 24 hours. These rheological properties make it the resin of choice for coating, impregnation, spraying, and foaming processes — enabling the production of artificial leather, vinyl flooring, wall coverings, and dipped goods with consistent surface quality and thickness control.
As an emulsion-grade paste resin, TPM-31 unlocks liquid-phase processing techniques that suspension resins cannot support — making it the essential raw material for coated, spread-coated, and dipped PVC products.
TPM-31 is the primary resin for PVC artificial leather used in automotive seats, furniture upholstery, footwear, bags, and fashion accessories. Its plastisol coats fabric substrates with uniform thickness and excellent adhesion, delivering the soft hand feel, embossing definition, and flex-crack resistance required by premium synthetic leather manufacturers.
In foam-layer vinyl flooring, cushioned vinyl tiles, and decorative wall coverings, TPM-31 plastisols enable precise chemical blowing and embossing. The resin's stable viscosity profile ensures consistent foam cell structure and pattern retention — critical for high-end residential and commercial flooring products.
TPM-31 plastisols are widely used in dip-molding processes for industrial and household PVC gloves, inflatable toys, and medical device components. The resin's low viscosity and good air-release properties produce pin-hole-free films with uniform wall thickness.
As the base resin in PVC-based adhesives, TPM-31 provides strong bonding performance for automotive trim attachment, footwear assembly, and construction sealant applications. Its compatibility with a wide range of plasticizers and tackifiers enables formulators to tailor open time and bond strength.
TPM-31 plastisols serve as the vehicle in screen-printing inks for textiles and as functional coatings on conveyor belts, tarpaulins, and industrial fabrics, offering abrasion resistance, flexibility, and weather durability.
